Ah, new year new me!

Happy 2020 everyone and I hope the new year has been treating you well! Me? Why thank you for asking my fellow grumps! I have been spending the last few weeks traveling, seeing family, celebrating holidays, and partaking in cheer and fun. You know what that means, don’t ya you clever little clogs you!

SICK!!!

Seriously, screw you holidays and all the germs you just spit into our faces! I got sick back in December and AM JUST NOW getting over it! What is it about getting older that makes things so much more…well MORE?!

Like I remember getting sick as a kid: sure I was out of commission for a tad but come the weekend I was up and running around like a sugared up tiny psycho!

Now I get sick and I have to update my will and testament to make sure my affairs are in order.

But seriously, may I just say that I LOVE Disney+ (#notasponsor #butwouldtotallyletbeasponsor #disneypleaselovemethewayiloveyou #NOTICEMESENPAI). It’s like I get to binge watch all the movies I watched as a kid when I was sick…but on demand….and I don’t have to rewind anything…so better!

And there’s something about watching shows with my kids that make them better. Take, for instance, the plague on our planet known as the Frozen franchise. Before having kids: I CRINGED whenever I heard Let it Go or saw an Olaf. Now, when my kids ask for Frozen through their coughs and sneezes, I get all like

So thank you 2020 for the start of a sniffle filled new decade.

I plan to release the next chapter of the Grumpy Nerd Dad Survival Guide soon going over all the hints and tricks I’ve learned about surviving the holidays with your little beasts.
